Hi everyone, my name is Lindsey Cox
and I am a Mechanical Engineering major. I am a senior and will graduate this
December. I chose mechanical engineering on a whim but have ended up loving it.
I am an engineering Co-Op for American Airlines in Fort Worth, TX in which I
work on the interior make-up of our aircraft. During my first co-op in the fall
of 2015, I was given the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong and work on site for
one of our major retrofit program. This was my first time to travel to that part
of the world and I absolutely loved it and hope to go back soon.

I am currently training for my
second half marathon this April for the OKC memorial run. I ran cross-country
and track through high school but took a few years off when I went to college.
It was really hard to transition back into running after that much time off but
I’ve slowly gotten into the groove and am excited to be training again. I hope
to be able to run a full marathon this September in Chicago.
Outside of school and running, I
love to be outdoors. I really enjoy hiking, fishing, being out on the lake
water skiing and relaxing at the beach. Costa Rica is another one of my
favorite places because is it full of fun outdoorsy activities like hiking to
waterfalls, zip lining, and ATV tours. I
also spend a lot of my time with my dog, Ruger. He is a 7-month-old golden
retriever and is the sweetest pup alive! He loves to spend time stomping around
at the creek and running around the dog park.

I am also a big sports fan. I love playing
soccer, racquetball and basketball although I am only 5’3 so I’m not great at
it. I am from Dallas, TX so naturally I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and am
still recovering from the sad loss this past weekend. I also come from a family
of OU grads so I love cheering for OU football and basketball.
