Vishnu is one of
the principal deities of Hinduism. Vishnu forms a Hindu trinity and identical
to the formless metaphysical concept Brahman. His incarnations most notably
include Krishna and Rama.
Krishna is one of
the most widely worshipped and popular of all Hindu deities. Krishna is often
portrayed as an infant eating butter, a young boy playing a flute or a young
man surrounded by women. Krishna’s birthday is celebrated every year on the
eighth day of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhadrapad.
Bhadrapad is a
month of the Hindu calendar that corresponds to August/September. In India’s
national civil calendar, Bhadra is the sixth month of the year and begins with
the Sun’s entry into Virgo.
Virgo is the
sixth astrological sign in the Zodiac. It is the second largest constellation. Astrologers
say a person born under the Virgo is typically analytical, kind, hardworking
and practical.
